Max Weaver

An original founding member of the Crown City Cruisers, Max Weaver was a car enthusiast before the club was established in the early 1900s. Max, a resident of Dunkirk, attends events regularly with his wife Diania. Max’s son, Matt, is also a member of the club.

The Weaver family is a past winner of the King Cruiser award.

Kenny Tackett

Kenny Tackett is the longtime vice president of the Crown City Cruisers. Kenny along with his wife Debbie are active members from Dunkirk. For several years, Kenny has been cruising to shows in his 1969 Pontiac Firebird, pictured above.

John Teer

A resident of Dunkirk, John Teer is a long-time member of the Crown City Cruisers. John and wife Marilyn enjoying cruising to shows in their 1967 Ford Mustang. Although it may sound like it has a V8 engine, people are surprised to find that under the hood sets a very throaty, in line six cylinder engine.

Tom Brosher

Tom Brosher serves as the secretary for the Crown City Cruisers. Tom is responsible for the publication of the monthly newsletter along with all club paperwork. Tom is one of the original founding members of the club. Along with his wife Georgia and son James, Tom is a resident of Dunkirk. The Brosher family won the Late Great Chevy Association Members of the Year award in 2000.

JoEllen Cook

Along with her husband Sonny, JoEllen has been a member of the Crown City Cruisers for several years. JoEllen, a resident of rural Parker City, is a invaluable member of the club because of her promotion of club events such as the McDonald’s Cruise-in Series and the Annual Show in the Dunkirk Park.

Anna Watt

Anna Watt has been a member of the Crown City Cruisers for several years. Along with her husband Jim, she cruises to shows in their custom 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air sedan that Jim restored himself. Jim & Anna is a resident of rural Redkey. Before their 1955 Chevy, Jim restored a 1957 Chevy.

About our club

The Crown City Cruisers car club was founded by a group of nine close friends who worked together at the now-closed Indiana Glass factory in Dunkirk. The group enjoyed working on classic cars and attending car shows together years before the club was formed. Read more »
